Betsy Z. Naylon

Buffalo NY 14209

BZN@adelphia.net

Technically I am interested in following traditional methods to begin an artwork. then I look for the work to take me on a journey, with some surprises, leading to knowing. I intend, with my artwork, to go beyond realism; to express a thought or emotion with concinnity (harmony and elegance).

Catherine Pardike

51 Ruskin Rd.
East Aurora, NY 14052
716.652.7494
cpardike@verizon.net

I work with a vocabulary of personal symbols which lead themselves to a constant mutation and re-invention. This vocabulary includes sexual elements, human body parts, motion and graffiti. I also use mythological symbols such as snakes, spirals, the ideas of good versus evil, fertility, life, death and interaction of male and female. These images are layered, building new forms which change into strange shapes, animals or creatures, many with the action of flying, falling, agitation or disintegration and this becomes my own personal mythology. I give these creatures a deceptive beauty and as you look closer they are not what you first perceive and can be amoral, evil and dangerous or just a slice of life you weren't expecting.

Mr. Paris Roselli

paris@roselli.org

My work with black-and-white photography has focused on urban landscapes and industry. While exploring various locations in the US and Europe, I have captured the impact of evolutionary processes on the urban landscape, particularly, elements now in a state of disuse or abandonment.

DasHantren Williams
716-435-0076
dashantren@yahoo.com

I live in Buffalo NY and am about to graduate from Erie Community College. Next is a Bachelors Degree in Art, then, I plan to teach art after school.

Right now, I am currently working on a number of things, from illustrations for children’s books, to a number of art pieces being done in oil paints, pastels and a few other mediums, including artwork from school. I am not sure what inspires me to create art. It might be something I see or read, a serious thought, or even a funny thought that inspires me. Who knows but the end results are always interesting too me.
